I fell in love with this book after reading the first thirty pages and i was even more happy when i won a copy.
The book was even better than i thought it was going to be, including a range of different characters and packed full of history. I did not know if i felt pity or hated the daughter and this kept changed all the way in the book. I loved the mum and felt she was a strong character that people could still relate to today. I really enjoyed the small notes she made in the book, which really made her come to life.
The book developed in a way that i did not see coming and just when you think nothing else could happen something or someone adds a twist to the book.
i will keep a look out for more books
