The first thing drawing me to the book is I have read other books by the author and enjoyed them. I feel we are introduced to the main characters early and form impressions quickly, but we don't know if they are true. I love the seaside setting as the sea can be so many things. The water splashing up on on the cover allows you to think this will not be a smooth ride. Of what I read, the line that makes you want to read more is the hint that as a storm approaches Littleport, Maine, it is a more than a weather event.
