The concept and the setting of this book makes it seem like the perfect holiday read that will also make you think and keep you alert until the last page. The cover of the book looks atmospheric, and it makes me think of film noir of classical Hollywood cinema. It also depicts a strong female character in the protagonist role, and the idea of murder, mystery and clearing your innocent name really appeals to me. I'd love the chance to read the book and find out what happens.
