I enjoyed The Last House Guest very much. I felt it was a little slow to get into at first, and a little confusing. However as the story began to unfold and the characters emerge I was hooked!

I liked how the plot was told on two timelines. It added depth and interest (once over the confusion). Some of the characters lacked conviction and I felt more could have been done to give them more depth.

The plot had many twists and turns and I definitely did not see the conclusion coming nor 'who done it'!

The descriptions of Littleport itself and the Lomans house were good on the whole. I quite liked the cover of the book and I would recommed it. It is a good thriller, but some of the characters seemed to have been invented for no purpose.
