The Last House Guest is about Avery Greer and Sadie Loman who were best friends up until Sadie was found dead and Avery is determined to clear her name and find out what happened. I was looking forward to starting this book but found that despite the interesting sound of the story it was a little slow at the start and wasn't keeping me gripped. It picked up a bit more from the middle onwards but still wasn't as thrilling as I'd have thought. I like the character of Avery and found aspects of her story fascinating as she discovered more about what happened to her friend and the story between Sadie and Averys friendship. I think it was a good book and I'd read more from the author but I'd have preferred a few more twists and turns to make it a bit more thrilling to read.
