An eye-catching, stand-out front cover that makes the reader feel they are in 'The Last Guest House' already; therefore, they must continue!

From the get go it grabs the readers attention. The first lines grasp you, making you want to know what has happened and what you would have done in that situation.

Introducing the characters, how Megan Miranda does, is really clever as it starts to give you the timeline that you go on to learn more about. This helps you to understand the different characters and makes it easier to learn the timeline when the investigations take place. It already makes you start to form your opinions and feelings about the different characters which makes you want to read on to see if your suspicions were correct.

The opening gets your heart pumping and your emotions flowing making it a thrilling and gripping read...I want to read on!
