'We had become temporarily unmoored, small boats in the ocean, and I sensed that seasick feeling I could never quite overcome out on the water at night, despite growing up so close to the coast. A disorienting darkness with no frame of reference'

Avery and Sadie have spent every summer together in Lilliport Maine since they both met. Sadie Loman's family own a bunch of holiday homes by the sea, Avery's job is to over see the rentals. During the Plus-One Party of 2017, Sadie's body washes up on the beach. Fast forward to the Summer of 2018 and Avery isn't convinced it was suicide... but all lines point to her as the guilty party. Can she prove her innocence?

Miranda really knows how to keep you guessing, but most importantly how to keep you reading. At the end of every chapter was a little cliffhanger, this is one of my favourite techniques that thriller writers utilise, and it really hard to do right, but it definitely worked in this one. I loved that it switched between 2017 and 2018, how the pieces from Avery and Sadie's past finally started to piece together until the big reveal.

I highly recommend this thriller, it was fantastic, and would be a great one to read this summer!
