The book started off really well, it seemed clear from the beginning that Sadie's death wasn't really suicide and it was really interesting following Avery in her search for the truth. I would have liked for the story to explore the friendship between Sadie and Avery more and I felt that I didn't really find out enough about these main characters and their friendship to be properly invested in them. The strength of the friendship does come through in the way that Avery is able to find clues that nobody else would be able to because of her knowledge of Sadie. The story wasn't very fast paced but there were enough little twists and revelations to keep it interesting. After reading this I would look out for other books by the same author.
