This book features the main character Avery, who grew up and continues to live in a small community. Every year there’s an end of season party. She attends this party every year with a girl she befriended called Sadie. Sadie comes from a wealthy family, and she and Avery become such good friends that Avery sells her deceased grandmothers home to Sadie’s family, and partakes in employment with lodgings all year round at one of the family’s properties.
The basis of the story is a classic “who dun it” after Sadie is found dead.
The storyline was good, there were many twists and turns. But equally I found it quite slow moving, wasn’t a particular page turner. I feel with such a great storyline much more could have been done with it.
