I love the cover of this book. It’s very clever and seems to be raining with real raindrops through a window. However I don’t see how this relates to the story as I can find no reference to it raining at all in the book. A bit odd really. Perhaps the publisher got mixed up between Littleport and Skegness. Easy mistake to make.
However I did enjoy the story. It is all about Avery who works for rich people and due to her job mixes with them as well. How she would love to be one of them. However she comes to realize that they are not the same as her and don’t really like her that much.
But there is a reason for that. A dark secret that must come out.
And it does. Are the posh people as nice and straightforward as they would have us believe?
But it turns out that the nice and simple girl Avery is rather more crafty than I could have thought.
