This novel had a good opening with one of Littleports elite summer vacationers winding up dead on the beach. The first look doesn’t go in to too much detail but no one seems to be under suspicion and it looks like a suicide. Avery is the focus of the story as the best friend of the deceased and it seems like there is lots to learn about her and her troubled past.

The writing style is relaxed and seems in no rush to reveal anything in the opening few pages but from the snippets of information we gain about the main characters it looks like to be a page Turner the more you read.

I would be inclined to buy this booklet as I would very much like to see where the story goes and how it ends and what really happened the night Sadie died.

If you like suspenseful thrillers then this would be a good read for anyone who likes a bit of a slow burner. Worth a read in my opinion.
