Slow but intriguing

I enjoyed the first impression of this book and thought the cover was very well designed.

I loved the juxtaposition of a town split between holiday homes rentals an those who live there all year.
Two friends, Avery and Sadie spend every summer together they have a very strong friendship. One day after a party Sadie is found dead, it is declared a suicide, Avery can't believe that Sadie would kill herself and knows that there is a lot more to this than first appears. Feeling that she is on the list of suspects, she sets out to look for answers.

I did enjoy this book, but for me I found it a bit slow going and missing that real gripping feeling of a book, you just cant put down. I did struggle a bit with it at the beginning but near the end the story did pick up a bit and became a lot more compelling. There is definitely something not right about Avery which does pull you in.
