We were lucky enough to visit Hiroshima on Peace day last year when paper cranes adorn the peace memorial park in their thousands upon thousands. The Japanese tell the story of Sadako Sasaki and a thousand paper cranes which has a special place in their culture. This book has put me in mind of this experience, and after reading the preview I would really like to read the rest of the book as it looks like a moving tribute.
