This first extract was so interesting to read. I love how the present day narrative is written as a poem, while the flashbacks to the nuclear bomb are written as prose. This is such an interesting way to write the book, portraying that the people that were not in Japan at the time of the bomb would never truly understand what happened.
This is an area in history that is rarely explored in fiction so I believe it will be a beautiful and eye opening story to read.
Furthermore, I love the cover art. The simplicity of the design juxtaposes the chaos of the bomb in such an interesting way.
