I had high hopes for this one before I even read the blurb, let alone the extract. I love the cover, and I love the idea. I have never read anything that is set around Hiroshima, and this devastating moment of history. I am cautious, but curious too. Can this book do justice to what took place in 1945? Early indications are good; I only hope it is a well researched and faithful remembrance to lives lost. The writing format of this one is instantly intriguing, it grabs your attention; with chapters of verse woven amongst chapters of prose - that could add to the power of the message here. I'm looking forward to this one.
