This book starts with what at first glance looks to be Japanese haiku. This is setting the scene for the story to begin. It is so eye catching and imaginative a way to begin the book.
The story then goes back to the day of the Hiroshima bombing. This is in traditional prose. It is so unpretentious a start that you are drawn in, wanting to know what happens.
I cannot wait to read this book when it is published.
