I’m drawn to the writing, the prose at the beginning was so beautiful. I have been wanting to read books with heart this year, and already I can tell this has it. A story enthused with history and lessons.
I’ve read fiction novels about Hiroshima bombings, bodies going missing and families never knowing who was taken by death. But surprisingly, the novels I’ve read have dealt with the aftermath. For this reason, I’m most keen to read this one.
I loved the beginning pages, the writer’s aim is such a noble one- more so because it’s not her culture. I admire her efforts, 5 Stars for that alone!
