Having never found myself a particular war story fan, I was pleasantly surprised to find the first read of this book griping me in a way no other war book has done before.
The reading is easy and smooth which immediately grabs at your emotions, and makes you need to know more.
By the end of the introductions, you already get a sense of the huge impact that Hiroshima has had on the whole family, not just the ones who lived through it. It tells of the strained relationships which have suffered from guilt and loss.
