I love how the author's note was included in this preview - it really set me up to join this journey she and the characters have been on.
The introduction to 2018 had a very interesting layout, the poetry sets the scene well without too much detail and wasted words. Then the beginning of grandfather's story in regular prose is a nice change. I can see myself getting sucked into this book!
