Reading the blurb instantly caught my attention, an intriguing story from an era of history of which I'm not well read.
The first look has me hooked! It's beautifully written; the formatting is enticing, the cranes indicating flashbacks/memories are so clever, wonderfully different.
The present tense scene is very emotive and I already want to forgive 'Grandfather' for his sins and, when he begins his story, the dropping of the bomb so quickly leaves you wanting answers from the start.
This is definitely a book I will be reading in it's entirety!
