I absolutely loved this book and read it within 1 day, 1 sitting! I love reading books about history and this is the first one I have ever read in relation to Hiroshima.
This book is in 3 parts, written in both in verse and prose, which made the book that bit more special.
The link between Mizuki, Ichimo and Keiko throughout was beautiful and cleverly thought out. I also loved the paper at the back to make your own paper crane which was extra special and a little bit of fun for the readers - a nice touch. The book has beautiful illustrations, a gorgeous soft cover and gorgeous pure white pages which just made it an absolute dream to hold and read!
My only critique (and the reason for me not giving 5 stars) is that it wasn’t long enough, I wanted more!
