In 1983, aged eleven, I saw Return of the Jedi in the
cinema with a friend. its something relatable so you link with the character, especially if you love star wars! I wanted to go home; I wanted to be with my mum and dad and brother just in case the bomb should drop. that imminently makes you want to know what will happen! also the last paper crane makes me think, will they be alone? The Cold War faded, I became a teenager, things
changed, but the memory of that fear stayed with me gives some relief, but it is well written as you are drawn into their life. I ordered it, devoured it,
cried over it makes a conecton with them even if you don't understand that at first. as you can relate with crying over a good book. I had thought I understood what happened in
Hiroshima, but it was nowhere near. I don't doubt his curiosity is going to lead him into a exiting adventure.
