Thank you to @readersfirst for the free copy of this book! Absolutely incredible ride of a book. It will take me a long time to fully process and connect my thoughts regarding this tiny book full of heavy words, but I can only recommend that everyone read The Last Paper Crane at least once in their lifetime. The use of negative space and line breaks to instill poignance throughput is so successful. A mixture of poetry and prose makes this book accessible to just about anyone who reads it and the illustrations scattered throughout are beautiful. Easily a contender for my book of 2020 and definitely in my top ten. Cannot endorse this enough and strongly suggest everyone get their hands on a copy.
