I am not sure what to expect of this novel. All I know is I have questions! The setting is unique enough, and the fact this has been translated from Swedish just gives the first few chapters that unusual edge.
I've read a few books over the last year that have been translated from Swedish and the common style is there is always an undercurrent of grittiness, of unique family relationships and harshness. The first few chapters of this were no different and I'm intrigued enough I want to know more about these people and how their world's will collide.
