I was really intrigued about this one after finding out it was set in Swedish Lapland. I do love a thriller and I've never read a Scandi Noir novel before so I was excited to give one a go - and I most certainly wasn't disappointed!
The location makes everything seem to dark and atmospheric, but the characters themselves are so intriguing and full of secrets. Why is Liv still living with her elderly father, Vidar after all these years? Is it true that Vidar has a small fortune? He has made many enemies in his time and in a village where everyone knows everyone, no misdeed is ever forgotten.
Whilst the chapters are fairly long, which I'm not normally a fan of, I didn't mind too much as it really was a page turner and in fact it didn't take me long to read this one as I enjoyed it so much. There are lots of twists and turns along the way like any good thriller and I really couldn't have predicted the ending!
