Wow! Liv is such an interesting main character. She is incredibly unique, as is her situation. She is a very strong protagonist, who deals with the judgements of every person in her home town, which she has never left, as she lives the same mundane day over again and again. The book also follows the Liam, who is attempting to find his way in the world and look after his daughter, while he tries not to get roped into his brothers constant money schemes- the latest being stealing Liv’s fathers fortune. When it all goes wrong these unique characters lives are intertwined in a way none of them expected. These different POV’s provided for a quick and engaging read. Jackson’s descriptions of the surroundings are detailed and unusual, allowing the reader’s imagination to roam. However, if you are someone who reads a lot of crime or mystery novels, then the ending may be predictable.
