I absolutely love The Last Snow by Stina Jackson. I'm reading this book as I was given it to review prior to publication. Currently, I am half way through but I wanted to share my thoughts on its publication day because this book is fantastic. I had not heard of Stina Jackson before, although this is not her first book. Interestingly, I would not have chosen to read the novel if I had been browsing in the bookshop. However, this would have been a big mistake because I would certainly have been missing out!
The story follows Liv, a woman who has lived all her life under the strict and unbending rule of her father. Her story is interspersed with sections following Liam, a drug dealer and previously low-level burglar and thief who wants to turn his life around but struggles against his brother's oppressive control. I find myself to be really immersed in the story and I feel very invested in the well being of both Liv and Liam.
I thoroughly recommend this book and I will certainly look for other books by Stina Jackson now that I have been introduced to her work via The Last Snow.
