It was good timing when i picked up this book as it started to snow here where i live (coincidence?) and this helped me transport into the feel of the book more i think, if it hadn't been snowing i am not sure i would have had the same experience.

The book is set in a real remote area of Lapland called Ödesmark. It follows Liv and her dad, Vidar, and her son Simon and their relationship is a little odd and strained but what family has a perfect relationship with each other.

Then there is Liam and his brother Gabriel who have opposing views on how to do things - Liam is trying to give his daughter a good life and stay out of trouble but his brother is the opposite.

I struggled to relate to the characters in this and by consequence did not find them super likable. Not sure that this book was for me but I am going to give it to my family to read and see what they think of it.
