I'd like to start this review off by thanking Readers First and Corvus for sending me a copy to read and review of The Last Snow. And I would also like to be upfront with the fact that I did not finish this book. In fact, I got 156 pages in and couldn't pick it up anymore...

The Last Snow, from the first impression, gripped me and coerced me into a dark and twisted story that I would be sucked into. However, I did find myself losing interest very quickly which resulted in me putting the book down and then constantly forgetting about it. I hate that this happened because some of the writing is just so beautiful and the descriptions are amazing. I felt like there was something big and bold coming, but I just couldn't bring myself to carry it on. It's been almost a month since I started this book, and I'm not enticed to finish it...

I think perhaps it's the pacing and the switch from past and present that may have thrown me a little, but it felt really hard to follow. Maybe one day, I'll pick this up again and give it another go - but not any time soon.
