From the very start I was completely hooked, and the start ends on such a cliffhanger I can't wait to read what happens next. The story is a high sci-fi concept of what happens to those abandoning Earth before disaster, but although there is a lot of information and worldbuilding it is revealed naturally, through the eyes of children, making it manageable and natural to read.
