Not taken with the intro but then science fiction is not my favourite genre,

I wasn’t gripped by the premise or the introduction, possibly because anything science fictionish doesn’t really do it for me. Not sure I would keep reading until the end if wasn’t enjoying it even though I like the narrative style and therefore won’t enter the draw,
