I have read a few young adult books and this has to be one of the best so far. It’s not really something I normally buy but I like to open up with reading genres.
It was a very easy read and would recommend to children, older ones that is!
I will be passing it onto my niece as she likes to read. My children do not.
So basically earth is about to be destroyed and they need to leave on a spaceship to a new planet. Not everyone gets picked.
A family get aboard and you get put to sleep for a few hundred years. The girl wakes to find her mum and dad have been killed and later finds her brother as an old man.
She tries her best to act normal but she can see what is going on around her and tries to get some other kids with her. They start to remember their old lives.
It’s a bit sad but I love ems of the world stuff and this is written in such a way that it is good for children. Glad I read it
