I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which was filled with science fiction and folklore and had a gripping plot. A excellent book for young people and even younger readers, in my opinion, because of the straightforward and understandable language style. The inclusion of Spanish and the many stories was another something I really enjoyed.

The book opens with the earth being within one week of being destroyed by a comet. A small group of about a hundred people, including Petra and her family, are selected to board one of three spacecrafts that will take them to another planet for colonisation while leaving the rest of humanity behind.Petra realises that she is the only one who remembers life on Earth when she awakens hundreds of years later. The ship has been taken over by a new "Collective" that wants to completely destroy humanity's past.

I truly like this book overall. This book was easy to read quickly. Without a doubt, suggest to others. I didn't enjoy the conclusion since I wanted to know more about what happened after; nevertheless, this may be a hint that Petra The Storyteller still has more to say.
