This book has a colourful and interesting book cover and I like folk stories and myths. It was hard to get into and from the start the vocabulary and language use is not just in English. This does a depth and interest to the writing if you are fully focused but for some reason it wasn’t always holding my attention.
The story has a very profound message that if the world is ending and we awake in another time what will be the new humanity. The author is keen to share her concern that storytelling keeps us together in terms of sharing ideas and verbally illustrating people and situations. Such a scary proposition for the scientists and their families to be chosen to journey to a new planet and having the big responsibility of continuing the human journey but the alternative was worse!
I probably would not recommend reading this book to anyone I know.
