Such a beautiful book and very different with the Mexican dystopian theme. It is set in the future as it portrays the end of the world due to a comet. A few members on earth try to escape to find another planet worth living on. Later on we find that Only Petra the main character remembers their past on planet earth - thus becoming the last storyteller among mankind. This book shows the importance of keeping alive our ancestors and their stories while living our own lives and creating our own stories. It makes you embrace your roots while acknowledging the differences we have with everyone including our own families.
This is a very well written book full of hope and also heartbreak, and Petra's character is made to be very like-able. This is perfect for teenagers and even young adults, and also for those who enjoy folklore and science fiction!
