Before I gave this book to my grandchild I decided to read it first and was pleasantly surprised.
Petra is the main character and along with her family they are embarking on a journey to another plant before Earth is destroyed by a comet.
I found it interesting the way Petra's grandmother Lita, a story teller, who is unable to travel with her family because she is too old, tries to install the magic of story telling on to her granddaughter.
The way the family are hurried onto the space ship gave some excitement to the story line along with the way the author wrote about how it would be possible to hopefully survive travelling for hundreds of years.
On reaching the new planet the story line kept you turning the page to find out how it would all end.
I was very happy to pass the book on to my grandchild as I knew they would enjoy the plot and it also gave us plenty to discuss once read.
