The Last Storyteller tells the story of a young girl, Petra Pena and her family. The year is 2061. The earth is going to be hit by a comet and Petra and her family have the opportunity to leave, travel hundreds of years ahead in time, have their minds and past erased and arrive at another planet to start a new life.
The ship is run by The Collective and everyone has a number rather than a name. When Petra wakes it is the year 2432 and they are heading to the land of Sagan. All onboard have had their past erased except Petra who recalls the stories or cuentos of the past.
The book would appeal to the readers of science fiction, folklore and mythology. It would also be appreciated by young adult readers as well as older adults.
I enjoyed the book and found the cover particularly appealing. I loved the colours used and the orange spine. I can’t wait for the sequel!
