I don't know what words to use to express how lovely this book is. This book is about how important it is to not only remember our ancestors' stories, but also to create our own. This book is about understanding where you came from and having the freedom to choose where you want to go. This book is about accepting our differences, flaws and all, because it is our differences that make us human.

I liked how it started with the fire and the obsidian stone references to magic and witchcraft, old storytelling traditions, and then you're suddenly transported to a futuristic world where the people on Earth are awaiting an apocalypse, certain death, and the end of the human race except for a few who have been chosen to survive, which is intriguing because it appears they've found a way to live and survive but there seems to be a dystopian vibe to the ship they're on I'm eager to continue reading!

It's entertaining to read, especially because of the interactions between the various characters. There are many romantic ups and downs along the way, as well as many surprises. It was fantastic!
