i thought i would try something different by reading this book but i got about 100 pages in and sadly it just wasnt for me and i was struggling to continue to read.
i could not quite figure out who this book was written for as the sense of storytelling and futuristic space (sort of) theme suggested it would be for a younger audience but then the way it was written and some quotes and sentences in another language suggested it was for an older audience. donna barba higuera has a beautiful writing style and her words allowed me to imagine and picture the settings really well. Petra seems a very strong girl and a good character and it was interesting to see her views from earth being translated into the new planet. it is a very well written book with good length chapters and the cover is gorgeous but for me personally i could not get behind the magical storytelling.
