I want to start this off by thanking the team at Readers First for sending me a copy of this book to read and review - it truly is one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever read.

The Last Storyteller is definitely for a younger audience, and it’s also definitely not the type of book I’d go for on a standard reading session. However, this is hands down one of the most beautiful books I’ve ever held. On appearance alone this book is striking, with a vibrant front colour and nice feeling pages (I know that sounds weird!) this is just the type of book that is perfect for getting cosy with and reading in one sitting.

I thought there were some truly heartbreaking elements to the plot and found myself glued to the story, unable to put the book down. At one point, I thought I was going to finish this in one sitting but unfortunately life got in the way. If it wasn’t for having to complete tasks - this definitely would’ve been finished a lot quicker!

It mixes the world of fantasy and science fiction with mystery and young adult fiction. The mixture of genres makes it the perfect book for a wide audience and I’d definitely recommend it. The only reason I’m going for four out of five, is simply because at times I was reminded that I was a little too old for the book.
