This is such an intriguing start! This book could very well be the exception to my preference of characters over plot. I don't really like any of the characters (or rather, none has stood out yet), but I'm really interested in the story.
It reminds me a lot of 'Knives Out' and the premise of 'The Inheritance Games'.
I like the cover. Were it not for the name of the author that's awkwardly big and prominent, it would be near perfect.
