What sounded like an interesting concept certainly did not disappoint! The Legacy follows three bereaved siblings who have to put their differences aside and work together to decide what happens to their father's assets following from his death. Liv, Noah and Chloe made such interesting characters as each is at a different stage in life. Following their grief felt raw and at times their frustrations, guilt and anger felt very real. This is helped by the majority of the plot happening over a very short space of time as I felt I got to know the characters more intimately.
Although the book is set over such a short period of time, this did not hinder the pace of the plot. When I had time I could dedicate to reading, I found myself flying through it. The Legacy is beautifully written and it portrays death, grief and coming to terms with a life-long illness in a touching, yet profound way. This was the first book by Caroline Bond I have read but I am intrigued to pick up her other work after reading this. I would highly recommend!
