The Legacy is an interesting new novel from Caroline Bond about a family coming together after the death of their father to discuss their inheritance.

In the novel we meet three siblings Chloe, Liv and Noah who's father Jonathan changed his will in the months before his death leaving the decision down to his children who risked losing it all if they could not come to an agreement. He also leaves them the responsibility of working out what to do about their mother, Eloise and his new partner Megan. However the siblings tend not to agree on anything so it seems their father has left the a lesson from beyond the grave.

Overall, I found the book quite enjoyable if a little bit slow at times and its chapters are nice in size. The book primarily takes place over the course of a weekend and we get a glimpse in to each of the characters lives. The book is a reminder that sometimes death brings out the worse in people and covers a number of topics including inheritance, infidelity and illness. It is a good reflection of what we truly pass on to our children when we die.
