This is the second book I have read by Caroline Bond and so I was excited when I had the opportunity to read The Legacy. It is a beautifully written story that focuses on the family of a man who dies from MND. It is sensitively approached and the characters realistically portrayed. It gives the reader the opportunity to see what MND is like, the pain, the feelings and emotions but also the affect that this has on those who are witness to this and those who love them and who they leave behind.
I found the characters were well written and realistically portrayed but sadly I did not particularly like any of them. I have no experience of this situation, dealing with a will, thankfully. But in this case it certainly did seem to bring out the worst in everyone.
As with previous.books I have read by Caroline Bond, this is well worth your time and I recommend it
