The concept is quite straight forward how do the three children of Jonathan divide up his legacy, others in the picture are Megan his girlfriend of five years and his ex wife the children's mother Eloise. The only gift is to Lisa the carer who has grown close to Jonathan in the last few months of his life. All the characters are well drawn and likable in their own ways. Liv the high functioning elder daughter who has to learn to let go of the control. Chloe the youngest lacking a purpose in life who steps up to the plate. Noah the middle child who is battling his own demons and his personal inheritance from his father. Megan is the outsider who has put up with the children's hostility and nursed Jonathan through MND even when he has tried to make her leave. This story line is mirrored in Noah's relationship with his wife Josie. Surprisingly Megan and Eloise come to appreciate each other and respect each's relationships with Jonathan.
