Caroline Bond is very clever at writing stories that put families under pressure; seeing how they cope (or not) in the aftermath of a challenging situation.
"The Legacy" is another example of this storyline - three, adult, siblings have just lost their father and his will names them all as executors and charges them with making the decisions about how his estate should be distributed.
