The cover of this book is attractive and i was drawn to it. I have previously enjoyed a book by this author and had high hopes for this one and I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed!
The story focuses on the family dynamics and loyalties following the death of the father, or partner depending on the character, called Jonathon. The characters are well described by the author and you immediately start to form a picture, thinking about your own family and the characters in it.
I warmed to the girlfriend Megan from the start of the story, feeling there was only good in her actions. Why did Jonathon leave the will like he did with the only legacy £5000 for the carer? It keeps the reader guessing throughout the story.
The diagnosis of MND was a difficult one to discuss but the author managed it well. I loved the authors description of the scenery and the beautiful house.
