A death in the family rarely brings out the best in people, as the blurb to the book informs us, and this is certainly true of the Coulter family in this book.

This book was very complicated with all the different Will stipulations and family dynamics and I found it a bit bewildering at times, and needed a break. The relationships between the siblings, their father and his partner Megan was interesting to watch unravel, and gave me an insight into how the dead can control the living from beyond the grave. Grief can bring out the best or worst in people and this book explored this subject matter, but I still found it confusing.

The characters in the book were well written, and I changed my empathies several times, but by the end of the story i understood them all a bit better, and was pleased with how the book finished. As I said, enjoyable if a bit confusing.
