When Jonathan dies the request for his three children to be sole executors of his estate; giving them the choice of how they'd break it up does not go down well! To the shock of everyone a £5000 gift is left to his home carer of only a few months yet Meghan his partner who cared for him throughout his MND diagnosis right until the end isn't even mentioned. Under pressure as Jonathan's funeral cannot go ahead until they make their decision, the siblings plan a weekend get together at their childhood home to make arrangements.

The book was enjoyable but wasn't blown away..
The story follows a steady pace, when Olivia, Noah and Chloe get together to come to an arrangement of how to split their fathers estate, you get a real sense of the siblings pressures towards eachother.
Even though most of the book is based around one weekend it feels like so much more, throughout the pages you're thrown back and forth between the present and the past so you get a real feel for who the characters are.

Although the siblings had their faults I did feel for them, each had their own struggles and after the death of their father tension were just about holding.

I really felt for Megan though she was the one who cared for Jonathan at the end she was treated simply as they seen her... like the other woman. If it wasn't hard enough having the three children constantly bickering showing no regard for her home.. they invite over their mother, the ex wife!! In spite of it all she acts respectfully and with great self respect.

Quite a bit within the book it referenced Eloise ( the ex wife ) not being left anything in Jonathan's will despite them being divorced, their children all adults and her already having had a settlement.. I wouldn't expect this ever to be the case? I know it's only a small thing but it really annoyed me everytime it was mentioned..
