Jonathan Coulter has died, leaving the disposal of his will up to his three children who can never agree on the least little thing.
Now they are thrust together over the course of a weekend to thrash out the details of his estate.
Apart from a few small bequests they have to fully agree on how much each sibling has, their mother, Jonathan's ex wife and also Megan his mistress and current partner.
If they dont agree it gets disposed of in a different way.
This was a wonderful novel of family dynamics amidst the turmoil of grief.
I loved the author's subtle writing, the nuances of each character and the way she lays out all their good qualities but also their flaws, totally dragging the reader into their personal dramas.
This really appealed to me as i love this kind of story but I think many may find it too slow moving for them.
